We stayed for a few weeks while exploring Big Bend and surrounding area. We really enjoyed our stay. Everything is clean and well maintained. Close to Presido and the border crossing and right got outside BBSP. Great value and super nice people

They have a hot shower, bathroom and laundry room. The place was not fancy, but very clean. Laundry was honor system, $1.50/load (washing or drying). There were clothes line so you can hang your laundry outside if you wish, they even provide clothes pins for hanging laundry. That was exactly what I did, I hung our laundry outside and they were dry in about 2 hours in hot sun and dry air in desert ????. Overall it was a pleasure experience and will definitely use this RV park again if we ever come to this part of country.

Had a great stay. Very friendly owner (Maxine) and hosts (Lori & Kevin). We only planned on staying a few days but ended up staying almost two weeks. Reasonable laundry rate - $3.00 (or only $1.50 if you hang your clothes on the drying rack). Other guests very friendly. Two thumbs up.

It really depends on what you are looking for. The campground is very affordable, full hookups and low on amenities. We were just here for a night. We were just here for a night. We called 3 weeks ago to make a reservation and to have mail sent. They never took our reservation, so when the mail came it was turned away. Also, we never got a PO Box number for them, and USPS won’t delivery to street address because they have no carriers. It was really unfortunate. One grocery store in town. One liquor store (the duty free store) a nice park with a playground. The sites are unpaved and it’s sandy gravel. Probably pretty common down here. Good value, though. Just wanted to share details.

The park atmosphere is so layed back with happy hour at 4pm. The owner Maxine makes the park feel like family. We never crossed the border but everybody says it is safe with better restaurants and shopping. The hookups are good, laundry, city water, good power, sites are good size, gravel. Secure everything down as the wind will blow almost everyday but never last long.

This place is very laid back and was the perfect spot to stay in the winter and get some work done, while also having plenty to see and do in the area. I initially came here as a base for Big Bend, and if that's your goal it's probably not the best spot. To get to the national park took about 2-2.5 hours each way. The park is right on FM170 which goes through the state park and into the national park and is one of the most beautiful drives I've ever done. The park also sits right next to some public desert land that has trails that are fun to walk. A lot of people also had ATV's and dirt bikes and would go out and ride the trails. The people at this park are all extremely nice and welcoming, which is one of the big reasons I ended up staying so long. As other reviewers mentioned, they do a happy hour ever day at 4:00 which is a great way to get to know everyone. After becoming friends with the regular happy hour group, they took me over to Mexico one night and we went out for dinner and visited some shops. I was definitely glad I was able to go with the group and didn't attempt to go by myself. Presidio is pretty limited for amenities. There are gas stations, a couple dollar stores, and one grocery store, but not much for restaurants, bars, etc. A lot of people seem to go over the border for a lot of things. The park has 3 washers and 3 dryers that are each $1.50/load and they just go off the honor system. There is also a bathroom and a shower in the laundry room. For connectivity, I only had about 1-2 bars of LTE, but it almost always worked great. The campground also offers wifi, but it only worked for me about half the time. The park has about 80 sites, but make sure you check all the hookups before picking one. My rate of $10/night is the monthly rate - $250/month plus electricity.
Good pricing, Nice Folks

We popped in for just one night but we ended up staying 5 days. They have a happy hour out in the center of the park at 4 p.m. daily. Everyone seems to come to this (and most are not drinking but just socializing). We met another couple that we hit it off with and ended up "going and doing" with them. Another gentleman (Gary from Illinois) drove us across the border to Mexico and showed us around. Maxine, the owner, was just great and the whole operation was a reflection of her laid back personality. Dogs are allowed to be off leash but naturally the expectation is that you control them and pick up after them.It is a gravel lot and probably has 60 or so sites but people were spread out and we didn't feel packed in. The rate here is $22 but first night is $11 if you have Passport America. There is shower and washers and dryers tho we didn't need them. Internet is good here but be sure to ask for a site close to the connection point (its about in the middle of the park)Oh yeah, while we were here (March of 2019) the Javelin's cruising by about 10 p.m. and Boy! do they stink!

Sites are large and spacious- some of the largest we’ve seen in our 1.5 years of full timing.50/30/20 amp FHUs. Also, 2 washing and 2 drying machines ($1.50 honor box) as well as a bathroom with a shower. Wifi available, but only okay in the center of the park. 3 bars Verizon LTE.Close to a road, but not much traffic- usually pretty quiet. The road goes to Lajitas/Terlingua/Big Bend and is GORGEOUS!! Runs along the Rio Grande and includes a 15% grade, so don't take a big rig unless you're prepared. The park is very close to Mexico if you want to take a trip over the border. We’ve been told by locals it is very safe, but we did not cross, so no personal experience.
