Very friendly office staff as well.Hot tub/pool was great! Super hot, lots of room to social distance if need be. Amenities were well maintained, although the lazy river was closed for renovations.Site 702 was level, although not long enough for our truck and trailer, so we parked the truck beside the mini golf course 20 feet away. All utilities worked well with zero issues. We were not far from downtown Galveston attractions, shopping and a few museum's/attractions. If you haven't been to this area before Randall's was a super go-to grocery store. Yeah, we like those things!Park Wifi was nearly useless, but this is to be expected. 1-3 bars of Verizon, so we could manage to do what we wanted to do online-wise.Galveston State Park was just down the road and it had about 5 miles worth of good trails. We did see quite a few different species of birds to get pictures of, but no alligators. That is ok with us as well!

Staff was super helpful and easy to work with. We have never stayed here before and made a last minute reservation (after a cancellation) on a full capacity weekend. That said, the spot wasn't choice as it was right on 3005/San Luis Pass Road, so road noise was less than desirable BUT we had a view of the ocean, so that was nice. The facilities, of what we experienced were in good working order and well maintained. We enjoyed the lazy river and pools sized hot tub. At night the mosquitos were terrible, so much so that we retreated into the rv in the evenings but in the mornings, I hardly noticed any. It was super close to beaches so we would start at the beach and then spend the afternoon at the resort or enjoying the main island activities. Next time we stay, we'll be sure to stay closer to the center of the resort near the lazy river where there isn't so much road noise.

Location is great: away from all the bustle of Galveston proper, but across the street is beach access. Level concrete sites. No shade if that is important. Family friendly movie night hosted outside which was fun! A great deal if you are headed to Galveston. Wifi was strong.

You can walk, cart or drive to the beach access. You can even park your truck on the beach so you don't have to drag all your stuff the whole 1/8 of a mile. It was a breeze checking in and the wonderful staff at the office gave you a quick overview of upcoming events and easy to follow directions to your site. Just happened to luck into the campground sponsored Fish Fry night when we arrived. The sites are all drive thru, concrete with patio area and picnic table and they are level. Services are well located and include cable tv. Water pressure was excellent as was the water quality. Verizon signal was strong at 5 bars and data signal was very good at 32Mbps down and 19Mbps up with hotspot. Campground wireless was pretty good most of the time and worked very well for basics. The resort was hit pretty hard during the freeze this winter and the palms show the ill effects of a week long hard freeze. We are already planning our trip for next spring and hope to see everything green and lush once again. They did get everything back in order by the time we got here. Really enjoyed the Lazy River and the spa. Mini golf was fun. Lots to entertain here. Can't think of one bad thing to say about this place! Try to make it more than a one night stop so you can enjoy the beach, the city and all the amenities offered here. Ok....we were right on the highway end so a bit of road noise but quiets right down at night. If you come in from I-45 I would suggest taking Stewart Rd till it intersects Termini-San Luis Pass Rd (aka) FM3005. Also preferred Randall's to Kroger for food shopping just in case you were wondering what my thoughts were on local supermarkets!!

We LOVED our stay at the park. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Amazing that the owners work the rv Resort. They are amazing. The amenities are very good. Lots of adult and kid activities. AND the new pool will be opening soon. Will be nice in the winter months because it’s heated and enclosed.

Sites are all full hookup on level concrete pads. A good amount of grass space between sites. We camped at a buddy site with family, so had plenty of space. If you are alone and want more space and privacy, go with a “premium” site. Extremely clean facility. Great mini golf course, pools and hot tubs. Lazy River was closed due to COVID while we were there, so didn’t get to use it but it looked awesome. Short walk/drive/bike ride to the beach. Three things kept me from giving this 5 stars: 1) There’s an additional concrete pad at each site to walk out onto from your camper. No rugs/mats allowed on the grass, but they can go on the concrete. My issue is we have a rear door and the length of the concrete was not enough to align with our door. Saw this was the case with many campers. This misalignment meant we had to walk out directly into the sand (mud when it rained) instead of onto our rug or the pad. Had to sweep several times a day to keep the sand out of our camper. 2) Kids in the Adults Only hot tub. There’s an indoor “adults only” hot tub. The handle is even about 6’ off the ground with a large sign on the door saying “ADULTS ONLY - Nobody under 18”. Now, I don’t have an issue with a few well-behaved kids hanging out with their parents. My issue is when there’s more kids than adults, the kids are throwing pool toys and splashing strangers. This put a damper on a couple of nights in the indoor spa. Didn’t seem like there was any enforcement to the adults only rule. 3) WiFi. Campground says they have WiFi but it is only 1 mb/s - basically useless.

Our intention was to stay a couple of weeks. WELL, it was so wonderful that it ended after a couple of month's. We enjoyed the swimming pools, HUGE hot tub, the Putt Putt golf course and LOVED floating the AWESOME Lazy River. We also enjoyed the Bayside strolls & sunsets. This place was 100% all the way. We're already booked for 2 months in 2021. The owners are on-site daily with numerous activities (although stopped during our Covid stay). The other RV'ers became like family. It's only a few miles from the seawall boulevard which we hope to enjoy and explore this coming year if Covid allows. Can't wait until March.

The owners have done a great job with this park and have tried to create an environment for everyone of all ages. They have so many amenities you need days to do everything and not to mention the location of the park is great, just the other side of Terminal San Luis Pass Road is the ocean, this park is within walking distance to the beach!I traveled with my elderly father who has some mobility issues and I was greatly pleased that they have ramps on the buildings. He was able to get around almost all of the park with little to no problems. Just had to be careful with the streets as they have some dips, hole and humps to maneuver around. I also had my teenage son with me and he loved all the amenities to keep him busy when we were at the park. His favorites were the Lazy River and the Putt Putt Golf. The staff does a great job daily of mowing and keeping the grounds clean and being visible if needed. They are helpful in the office too and don't make you feel as though you are bothering them for doing their job, as I have experienced in some other parks. Good customer service through the whole visit from reservation on the phone before arrival to departure. Some areas to improve from our observation would be:1. To make the private fishing/pier area (at I believe the back of the park) more known and visible). We didn't discover it until the day we needed to leave after attempting to find it for two days.2. Have frequent walk throughs by staff at the pools and lazy river areas. Many adults and even some teens were witnessed drinking and being rowdy with no concern for others in the water. This can become a major safety issues, regardless of swim at your own risk. 3. More shaded areas incorporated at the water areas and putt putt golf course. 4. Bug/Ant control throughout the park. At the sites and putt putt course ants were a problem. 5 Offer site trash pick up at certain times, this is a BIG perk for guests!6. The bottom of the Lazy River is very rough and may need some attention, one day my son came to the RV all cut up on his feet and legs. He had to skip the water areas the next day. Besides the few observations above, this park is a great value and we had a good time. If ever in the Galveston/Jamaica Beach area again we would definitely stay here again. I have already referred other RV'ers too this location, before even returning home. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND EXPANSIONS JAMAICA BEACH RV PARK!

The park also sports two swimming pools, a lazy river, and also a pirate-themed mini golf course. The WiFi was pretty non-responsive and if you wanted great WiFi, you had to go to the clubhouse where it was fast. Their IT person was out the week we were there, so they didn’t know how to fix it. Cellular service was 3 bars LTE AT&T. They had decent OTA TV channels that were out of Houston. The showers, restrooms, and laundry were clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They even had make-to-order pizza that was very tasty. The best part was going on a short walk to the beach! So beautiful and the sunsets were amazing! You could even take a short walk to get to the back bay. We would definitely come back to this park again.

The RV park is immaculate and all the staff is very nice and well attentive. The park has a lazy river (we did not try that out) as well as a mini-golf course as well (we did not try that either). However, we did try their hunt brothers pizza (thin crust) and it was excellent and it was close to Galveston city so it was very convenient. The park was amazingly quiet and everyone walking around was so nice. They have a dog area which was nice also (always clean up after your own dog's folks) as well as each short access to the beach. The only negative I guess is that you can't walk directly from the park over to the beach but then again it was only a short drive down to the nearest access point. The pricing was reasonable and I felt their TV service was excellent as well. Yes, we are glampers versus campers so it made it nice for us.We got to walk around the park and see the setups and it is impressive. The power pedestals offer both 50A and 30A and the TV hookups are right on them as well. The water pressure was excellent, in fact, we restricted it to 50 psi to protect the pipes but probably would not have needed it. We will most certainly be back again next year.

There was an indoor infinity hot tub the size of a small pool, which I enjoyed on several occasions. We did not use the pools or lazy river as it was too cool to pool during our visit, but the place was loaded with fun spots for all ages. Additionally, the beach was just a walk across the street. We did take a walk over and walk the beach one day. We had some unseasonably cold weather during this visit, including freeze warnings, so we didn't get the full benefit of many aspects of the great RV park and location.

The lazy river was not opened as of the second of June, but it was complete enough to see that it will be a great diversion for the park. The pool was nice and the walk to the beach short. There is a Saturday morning breakfast that opened at 8AM on the third floor of the main office building - the food was good and reasonably priced. I did not use the mini-golf or the spa. I peeked into the bath houses and the laundry, but used neither. They appeared average, as is typical for a beachfront park. I would stay here again if I stayed on Galveston Island.

They put us in the newer part of the park. The benefit is that it was definitely quiet most of the time, it seems they fill the older part of the park first before putting people in the expansion. However being the newer part of the park the vegetation is not as lush, so there is not as much privacy or shade. The new lazy river and the bath house / laundry that is part of the expansion was still under construction. It looks like it will be really nice once complete, and is apparently only a few weeks away, but in the meantime there was a bit of construction noise during the day. They have a very nice large dog run. One of the largest I have seen at any other RV park. Unfortunately they have not put any benches, or seating there, so if you want to sit while your dog runs you either need to sit on the grass or bring your own chair. Hopefully in the future they will put a table and maybe a shade cover out there, that would be nice. Most of the time we were there the two pools were busy with kids and families so we didn't bother, but the pools do look really nice. They also have miniature golf, though unlike most RV parks it appears there is a fee for it...however it is a much nicer looking course then most RV parks include. We did not play though so I cannot comment on the actual play of the course. It is about a 20 minute drive from Galveston, during the weekend when there is heavy traffic it can take even longer to get to the popular areas (like Stewarts beach). We now have family in Galveston so we will be back. The park didn't wow me enough to where it is a guarantee that I will stay there again, but if they have the best price in the future I would certainly stay again. Results from our cell test:Verizon No Booster14.65Mbps down / 9.19Mbps upVerizon Boosted12.94Mbps down / 9.08Mbps upATT No Booster7.27Mbps down / 0.40Mbps up ATT Boosted5.48Mbps down / 1.10Mbps up

Same here. We stayed in a newer section of the park, and while all the amenities worked as promised, it wasn't much to look at - trucks and piles of materials lined the access, and much of the park was trashy looking because of the construction. Once this is finished, this should be a nice family-friendly park. It is definitely less expensive than the pricier resorts close to town.Having said that, the sites were large and level, with HD cable TV. They were quiet, and very close to the beach, which is where we spent a lot of our time in Galveston. There is good straight-shot access to Galveston proper via Termini - San Luis Pass Road.Things like pools and miniature golf don't mean that much to us, but they're available on-season.Management was mostly helpful and courteous and gave us recommendations for places to see and local restaurants. One ding: three times during our stay the power went out, and when we asked management about it, they were kinda ho-hum about it, and said it probably the local utility company's fault.

Unfortunately, this stay was a different story. The park is expanding and we were put in a spot that was pretty much in the middle of a construction site. Nails and other debris on the pad as we pulled in, cable wasn't working, no picnic table, concrete trucks going by and backing up (beep-beep-beep) constantly - you get the picture. When I finally got to talk to one of the owners I didn't get an apology, just a nasty "well, you shouldn't have been in that spot in the first place, it's not ready!" Well, their staff should know better than to assign spots that aren't ready! If you do go, try to get a spot in the front of the park - that's the old, established, lush area you want to be in.

That meant a RV Park was the way to go versus the Galveston Island State Park, which has a 2 week max reservation gate. By staying 30 days, we scored a monthly rate of $545 total. No additional charges for tax or electric. That brought our nightly rate for full hook-ups to a little more than $18 a night. The weather was cool during our stay and therefore we didn't use either of the pools. The onsite free mini-golf was cute and entertaining. The pond is home to ducks and other birds as well as the park is surrounded by agricultural land with horses, cattle, and alpacas. The beach is across the highway at the public access. Some days we walked over there and other days we drove. We parked right on the beach.Galveston itself was a very pleasant surprise with so much to do. Galveston and the Jamaica Beach RV Park seem like a great place to visit with children, grandchildren, extended families, or even a romantic get away. The whole area has a little something for everyone. The RV sites were nicely spaced. Concrete with a picnic table. Free WiFi and Cable. The onsite laundry was a bonus and I never had to wait.
