Wonderful no frills park. They are working on putting in bathrooms. Sites are level and well spaced out. Close to everything and a wonderful staff. There can be a bit of road noise, but so few cars go by it wasn’t a big deal.

Pick your site and the host drops off a nice welcome packet that includes local pecans.Aside from newly planted trees and a dumpster, there’s nothing at the park. It’s a dirt lot, but it serves its purpose. If your looking for fancy or anything above hookups- this is not for you. Minutes from town and the Fort at Fort Davis and a just down the road from the state park for some nice hiking. It’s a cute town with enough to keep you busy for a day or three

Quiet park on the edge of Fort Davis. Owners provided a welcome package with a ton of info on what to do in the area. Close to Marfa, Alpine and Marfa. Loved my stay in the area.

Awesome folks. The site was wide, level and quiet. A great base to visit Fort Davis, the State Park and the Desert Gardens. Several nearby campgrounds did not look as inviting or spacious as Davis Mountain. We sat tight and watched as our first dust storm blew through one day and afterward watched two Barbary sheep and their kid traverse the mountain ledge behind our site. It was a shame to see at least three fellow travelers didn't have the courtesy for their hosts to pick up after their dogs and one who left a pile of shattered glass we almost walked our dog through, remnants of a tossed wine bottle. We will be back through the area again and look forward to another stay.

No frills meaning, no bathhouse or laundry. Laundry is easily available about a mile away. We stayed for a week and accessed Ft Davis, Marfa, Alpine and would have hit McDonald observatory if not for the Covid. When we pulled in the WiFi wasn’t stellar, we mentioned it and it was ‘fixed’ ASAP. Park closer to the entrance and you can stream video until your heart is content. Great stargazing as well We would stay here again

We couldn't get into the state park so opted for here. Only 3 miles from the park. FHU at all sites. The place is brand new and will add a shower house eventually. Very quiet place during our stay, not many campers around.

Pam even answered the phone at 10:15PM when we were expecting to leave a voicemail. Our three kids ages 7,6 & 4 love the area they could explore and might have climbed up a mountain a little too high for our comfort. However they made great memories. This place will eventually have more amenities as they get more business. Please stay here and help this new business grow and build something great for Ft. Davis. Also!...They have WiFi that works really well throughout the park. The state park is very close and this spot makes a great alternative when it is full.

If you are looking for fancy this is not the place. It is a work in progress. But all the sites are level, pull thru with both 30 and 50 amp service. It is centrally located for all the attractions in the area particularly Fort Davis National Historic Site and McDonald Observatory. They have plans to add bathrooms and a laundry facility. The connections are all new and water pressure is excellent. Cell service is good - TMobile 3 bars 10 down/6 up, Verizon 4 bars 10 down/19 up. Verizon tower is within site of the RV park. They do have wifi available but we did not use it. At only $20 a night for full hookups while they are new you can't beat it. Buster and Pam are great owners. They have been very accommodating.
