As KOAs go, this one is relatively run of the mill. Close spots, a nice store with some staples, and WiFi that works not at all. We’ve been staying in KOA cabins this last few months as we occasionally want to shower and feel like they’re a little cleaner / less risky than public showers. As cabins go, it’s well below the norm. But, the staff here is excellent. The aforementioned petting zoo is interesting and the short hiking trail was nice. Large ducks, I believe Muscovy ducks, and cats running around. It’s the things in this paragraph, and the staff, that inch it up from a 2 star to a 3 in my book. We were able to use our Verizon signal for streaming and anything else we wanted to do online, the lack of usable campground WiFi was fine. Oh and though they have “cable hookups” as mentioned in another review, there is no cable TV, just a few OTA local channels and free DVDs in the office. How they have kept them in working order here in 2021 is an impressive feat. Still, if only Will Ferrell would be half as funny in Land of the Lost as he was in Elf...

Typical KOA location next to the Interstate. Loud traffic noise. We arrived after the office closed and the directions on how to proceed were not clear. We figured it out and made it to our spot. The pull through spot was nice and long and easy to access. The park had a a really cute animal farm with chickens and birds and a donkey named Jasper. We enjoyed checking in on them each day. If you need a quick stopover right off the Interstate, this is a good one nighter.
Not bad. A little in need of some work.

Trees were still without leaves and spring rains going through. Access Road from the interstate (they have no control over) needs some work. County has let it go to pot holes. But if you go slow and take your time, it isn’t to bad. The rv park it self, the roads are dirt. Not gravel. And thus when it rains it gets a bit muddy. This gives the park a bit of a rustic run down feel. A bit of a feel of a national forest type campground not a koa feel. The catch an release finishing pond, the water is black/brown. Not sure I would want to fish in there. Kind of looks like a cesspool. Not good. The lake looks much better. Normal muddy water. .Apparently the koa is situated on sort of a working farm like zoo. This is well advertised on the koa site. There is at least one donkey and several geese and chickens and possibly other assorted farm animals I may have not seen Or heard yet. You will be treated to the sounds of those three I mentioned in the morning. Really isn’t a problem. Kind of nice to hear in the morning. They only get really loud at feeding time. The maintenance guy runs around on a gas powered Side by side frequently. Probably tending to the zoo and other duties. Interstate is close but not that noisy. Traffic is light out here so the noise level is down.
Not our cup of tea

The last mile or so is very bumpy with potholes so playing dodgeball is recommended. When we arrived, no one was in the office. We drove around and looked at a few spots before selecting one. For large rigs, the sites are very unlevel. We had to jockey several times to find a semi-sweet spot. There is nothing fancy here. You can walk down to Lake Eufaula but it is a pretty dreary place. This park just had a weird mojo for us. Maybe it's different in the summer. It is overpriced for what you get.
Good if you don't have to use the facilities

The owners of this KOA are wonderful people. We had a plumbing issue with our coach and they gave us the parts to fix it, for which we were very grateful. However, the property is starting to show it's age. The bathrooms could use a remodel. If you are in a self contained RV, I would stay here. But if you need to use their facilities, I would go elsewhere. Verizon cell signal was strong, and my MiFi worked better than the camp WiFi. OTA television was good.
