We paid cash, as that’s all they take, for 3 nights but left after 2 because we had been set up to shield the rest of the camp from the big party of tent campers they brought in on our second night. They partied until 3:00 am right outside our windows. The camp is nice but mostly seasonal residents. It has a nice pier and a good little kayak launch. We didn’t experience the friendly version of Bill that the other people described.
Wonderful host, great spot!

Bill was a wonderful host through his engaging conversation and his caring nature, southern hospitality at it’s finest.Typically, we don’t stay in RV parks, but this exception was well worthwhile. Bill answered the phone right away and invited us in. When we told him we were really “dry campers” without a self contained RV, he set his hospitality into motion and in preparation of our arrival, he opened up the park’s bathrooms to serve us. So, we arrive and hail him on his cell as we’re looking toward the water’s edge. Donna turns to me and says, “wouldn’t it be wonderful to camp in that open grassy area by the water?”. Well, after Bill arrived and we all got aquatinted, Bill says we can camp right where Donna was dreaming, literally feet from the water. Woot! Ducks, martins, ospreys and an occasional jumping fish were very cool too. At sunrise we watched the painted colors of the dawn over the water.Conveniently located a few miles off the beaten track yet worlds away from the everyday hustle with an exceptional host, Bill’s place is perfect on the way to or from the OBX!
