It was a lovely experience booking and checking in with the lady owner of the park, I cannot remember her name. And she placed us in a lovely large site with our friends right behind us. She even checked on us to make sure we were happy with the way we were situated. Very nice. We later found out we were 4 inches short on sewer hose because the hookup was so far back from the site. We stretched it to make it work. No getting our short cable wire to the box, but that was no big deal. Everything about the site was great other than that!!The part that RUINED it for us was when we came back to the campground around 4:00 PM after being gone since 9:00 AM, we SLOWLY drove past our site to look at the pool for our kids to swim in. I am assuming the other man owner, whom was NOT FOLLOWING THE 5 mph, zoomed in front of our car in his golf cart as we were driving back to our site and accused us of “blowing out dust all over everyone’s stuff and had calls ALL DAY about us driving too fast in the campground.” Remember, we JUST returned for the day and we were following the speed limit. Then he said he had 5 phone calls on us speeding. Then he was Rudolph looking at our parking pass like we were trespassing, but I’m sure he was just making a note of our “Speeding.” Ruined it for us with the accusations! Thankfully, we left the next morning. I didn’t even want to be there after that experience. I understand rules and we respect that because we want everyone to have a good time camping and I wouldn’t want my stuff dusted out either!! And no, we didn’t send our kids to swim in case they encounter that man again.

We were allowed four nights at the Passport America rate of $27.50 but had to pay the full price of $55 for our remaining nights. It's a very nice campground with extremely friendly owners and staff. They answer any questions you have and will give lots of great suggestions on tourist attractions. The campsites are huge and grassy, with lots of space between RVs. The wifi worked well during the week but slowed down during the weekend when it was more crowded in the campground. There's a large grassy field to walk your dogs and a nature path near the brook. The campground is about 10-12 minutes from Red Hook and 20 minutes from Rhinebeck. The campground does have a visitor's fee for anyone who comes to visit you, even if they don't use any of the facilities (pool, minigolf, playground). Also our pad was a mix of gravel and dirt but with all the rain, the pad was a bit soft and we found our leveling jacks/boards were slowly sinking into the gravel of the pad. We had to re-level about every 3 days to compensate. Overall we were very happy with this campground and would probably stay here again when in the area, though the $55/night full-price rate seems too high to us.
