Tight spaces but nice and quiet with lots of shade trees. Love how quiet it is. Hope to come back here again! We used a cell phone booster and Verizon hotspot and we were able to stream Netflix. Also surprised I could search digital channels on our Roku and there were so many available!

We had a great 30 Amp site, trees provided ample shade and it was quiet.

A few along the river, but the majority in the main park are a short walking distance to the river. This place was almost eerily quiet. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Wireless exists, but sometimes sporadic. Chama is small village that is the terminus of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. The railroad was not yet allowed in NM due to virus. Pretty quiet here. A great grocery store in town. There is also an open space park just up the hill from the RV park for hiking, biking and fishing.
Quick quiet overnight stay.

Very friendly staff and campers here. Great internet service on both Verizon and AT&T devices. Lots of old railroad equipment to look at and next to historic railroad site. On the river. Staff led us to our site by golf cart and we’re very helpful.

Nice shaded park next to the Chama river, close to downtown and the Railroad terminal. We had no problem navigating through the park with our 36’ diesel and a toad. Friendly staff and lots of nice people. Lots of great New Mexican style food in Chama is another great reason to stay..

My reservation using the phone was very smooth. Our checkin was quick and easy to include a guide to our site. We visited the local Elk Horn restaurant for lunch and it was delicious. We hiked the local Elk Interpretation Trail for an easy hike. The scenic byway drive on Highway 17 is spectacular.

After hearing nothing, I called... only to be told that they don't have email, or a website, or a contact form. So I advised the elderly woman on the phone that their online information was incorrect and that they may want to look into updating it, but now that I had her on the phone I'd like to make a reservation for a week. At which point she said she was sure I had the wrong number because "we don't open until 1 June." Their website says May 1. RV Park owners: seriously, if you plan to stay in business after your 80-year-old clientele all dies off, you need to get serious about the information that's online, and running an actual business. I know that 50 years ago you could make a half-assed effort with your high school education and make a decent living but those days are gone.
Nice campground convenient to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR.

Since it was my first time out with the RPOD, their tech assistance for minor glitches was welcome. My site was near the showers & bathrooms which was fine with me. The bathrooms & showers are clean and well-maintained. The RR passes through the edge of the site, so you can get some extra pictures. It will not disturb your sleep. Wifi was out-of-order, so I can't report on it. A birdwatcher I met said that it was worth walking the park in the early am. I'll stay here again when I next ride the RR.
