Sites are also EXTREMELY close together. Save your money and camp on the BLM land around the resort.

But the DOGS were louder than the toys. The dogs were left to bark all day while others were out riding. And the fine dust is horrible, especially since some people won't slow down when driving by campers. And $63 a night (which included tax) for dirt? Sites do have trees which were nice as was the pool and river, and nice bartender, but because of the noisy dogs, dust, and price, we wouldn't come back. Great spot if you're an ATV rider though.

I know, I should read fine print more closely but I was not used to a park taking my entire stay if I missed their 14 day requirement. I have stayed there before and I had a family emergency, I was a couple days short of the 14 day requirement and I lost it all. Be aware!!

We enjoyed riding the Atvs out of camp but could see if you were not an atv person it could be busy on weekends. Pool and hit tub closed for season while here. Would return for a short trip again. WiFi was great and fast. But resort was pretty empty. No cable hookups and very little came in on antenna.
Fooled us. Thought it would be quiet.

The resort's website promotes itself for "the great scenic beauty of unspoiled western Nevada. Crystal clear air, old fashioned countryside quiet and unsurpassed seclusion and security are the special benefits each and every vacationer enjoys at the Walker River Resort". Admittedly, after describing more activities like fly fishing and river float trips, the website does mention that the resort is adjacent to BLM land with trails for ATVs. We should have taken that as a clue. We may have been the only guests without a toy hauler and a UTV, ATV or dirt bike. Even the 6 year olds were on dirt bikes (little ones), scooting around the sites in full body armor. Apparently this resort has been discovered by the motorized off-road recreation crowd. If you are into that sort of thing this resort is a beauty. If not, I would avoid it.
