This campground is very close to our house but we had never been there before. The site we stayed in was nice and level with full hookup. It had a fire ring and picnic table. The camp hosts are very nice and the office seems well organized. The bathrooms were clean, although the tile on the shower floor is falling apart and has been covered with a mat. The water was hot and all seemed clean. It looks like there is a “Seasonal guests” area filled with snowbirds and a “Weekend warrior” section, where we stayed. There were lots of families and everyone seemed to be having a fun time. This is a very nice place and you would have no idea you are as close to Rochester as you are.

When I think of Camping, THIS is the campground I imagine. Full, mature trees, a river close by to wade through or play in, and FULL HOOK-UPS!!! Full, mature trees, a river close by to wade through or play in, and FULL HOOK-UPS!!! Previous posts mentioned no Sewer but that was not the case now. It may have been added since those reviews. Half the campground is reserved for seasonal or full-time guests but the rest is open and beautiful. Recently purchased and under new ownership. Very kind and helpful staff. Wi-Fi is poor and cellular reception is low. I highly recommend this campground.

Stayed here for a single night to be closed to Rochester for a morning appointment prior to heading south for the winter. Will likely need to come back and try it again next summer.Wonderful helpful staff and excellent wifi for a campground.

There is enough nature to feel like you're out in the woods rather than so close to town. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Other campers were very friendly. We met both a few seasonal site owners and just frequent visitors and they all talked about how much they love the place.Con: website lists sewer as an option, but it's only available at the seasonal sites. There is a nice walking trail along the river, and it's close to the Douglas Trail which is great for biking.
