Second time here at the Lakeside Casino RV park. Easy access off I-35. Pretty tight slots. Full services. T-mobile 5G and ATT cell service. Not really at trees. Paved roads and parking pads. Level. Quiet.

Pretty nice, older campground. Reservation must be done online and you pick your own spot. Concrete pad is level, but narrow. Row ‘A’ is easily accessible to smaller rigs. Grass is trimmed and not even a cigarette butt was visible. Hookups work well. Didn’t test cable. Price includes all taxes. Would definitely recommend.

This campground is part of and adjacent to the casino/hotel. It is just off the interstate. Getting in and out of the grounds is pretty easy. The sites are pull through and have a concrete slab wide enough for your RV entrance to be included on it. You also have a grass yard as well. Full hookups and big rig friendly. There is a Pilot Flying J next door. We tried to call ahead but got a phone recording stating that the hotel and casino are temporarily closed due to the coronavirus situation. We decided to stop for fuel and check it out. There were RV’s in the campground so we pulled in. There was a sign saying to stop at the hotel entrance or go to their website to reserve and pay for a site. We pulled into a site and accessed the website from a smartphone. A security guard drove up and stopped asking our plan. He proceeded to say that we could stay the night for free! We had a pleasant night sleep and definitely are so thankful for the kind gesture. What a nice way to be supportive in this uncertain time.

Made my reservations on line instead of stopping in at hotel. Was easy and they sent confirm email to me. Small trees but level sites. No showers or laundry. FHU so we were comfortable. Couldn’t hear the highway noise. Pretty surroundings. Would stay again.

I arrived shortly after midnight and the casino was still pretty busy from what it looked like from the parking lot. There really isn't anything fancy about the RV park but there really aren't any other place to stay off of 35 around this area either. We only needed to use the electric site, but having full hook-ups for 25 is a good deal almost anywhere. I think there is an airport near by because I heard a lot of planes fly over and sice it is so close to the interstate/Pilot gas station there is a lot of noise. The sites are very large and can accommodate pretty large RVs. I never saw any site numbers making the spots though. I might not have been paying that much attention because we were only there a total.of about 8 hours. You can't really see the lake from the RV park. Your view is either of the gas station to the left or the casino and run off pond to your right. I wanted to stay at either clear lake state park or nine eagles, but one was too far and the other too close when we were deciding where to stop.

(We tow with an HDT). So we continued south to check this out with having the Pilot right next door as our plan B. We pulled into the truck lot and took the car to scout and found one spot (E8) that we felt we could fir in. I would say this is not really big rig friendly even thought we made it work at 61'. My recommendation would be to scout it and you have the Pilot as plan B. The roads in this park are very narrow, pads are too and like mentioned above very broken (with our leveling system though it was no problem for us). Everything was great for us had full hook-ups so we did our tank maintenance during our short stay. My Verizon and AT&T Internet worked good here. I did try the cable but (fuzzy and kept cutting out) it was more reliable to use over the air at least from my site (didn't bother setting up our DirecTV for one night). Other utilities worked well. *You also have access to the pool at the Hotel with a receipt from the campground. Just go to the main desk at the Hotel. Very nice pool and hot tub, they supplied towels too. Would definitely stay again when running through the area.

It is full hook up, fairly inexpensive, and always has an empty site when needed BUT: Almost 1/3 of the pads are very broken and heaved up. Some are bad enough that there are cones sitting in them so they cannot be used. The pads were poured long ago when rigs were not so large so the pads are much too small for an above average size fifth wheel or MH. Trees interfere with slides in about 1/3 of the sites. The turns to get into the sites are very tight but they are pull through sites. There are HUGE deep ruts in the yard where tires have driven off into soft ground that could not make the tight turns. These ruts are very dangerous for people and dogs to twist a ankle or fall down into. There is no internet access (wifi) even though they claim the casino internet will work in the campground and has not had cable tv hook up for many years. They have a small shuttle that will stop and take you to the casino but beware that the buffet at the casino is not very good and slots are tight. There is a Pilot up the hill within walking distance that has fabulous homemade pizza though! We would use this campground again only because our daughter lives 10 mile from here but I would only use it because of that. Needs a ton of work, actually needs shut down and completely redone.
