This is a gated RV community of owned or leased sites; most seem to be for permanent residents, but some sites are bookable online via Campspot. Site spacing and roads are a bit on the tight side. The property is tree-covered with hooting owls hidden in the Spanish moss, and slopes toward Little Lake Kerr. The designated swimming area is small and disconcertingly close to areas marked as gator territory. Swimming and clubhouse facilities were closed for COVID (Feb 2021).The shoreline faces west and the sunsets really turn the lake to a spectacular red. (If you stay there until dark, carry a flashlight for the walk back to your site; the roads are dark and busy with tricked-out golf carts. The park is very close to Salt Springs Recreation Area — probably a 10-15 minute walk or a two-minute drive.A couple of good restaurants — a pizza place and a breakfast/lunch spot — are right outside the park and easily walkable. There’s also a Dollar General right there.I had little-to-no cell service and paid the fee for wifi access — $5 for a day; $26 for a week — which was decent enough for remote work including Zoom calls.
