She has a wealth of knowledge about the area and is super nice, very helpful and great! Clean well kept bathrooms. Didn’t use the laundry. A restaurant in walking distance that was very good. High Octain Bar and Grill. We only planned to stay one night but ended up staying 3 nights. Our last night we changed spaces to C13 and that was a great site with beautiful tree and view. C13 is an end site which was nice. We would definitely stay here again. Also, great satellite reception and they have cable.

  • For one night, it might be a bit expensive, since you don't have time to use all the amenities

We just stayed for one night on our way up to Estes Park, but I wanted a level sight with minimal setup hassle and full hookup. We got that and more. There are a LOT of amenities here. We DID take advantage of the miniature golf course ($2 per round per person, goes to charity) but didn't have time for the disc golf and many other fun looking areas. (Pool and hot tub are still closed due to COVID). But the price is a little high if you consider they are probably charging you for availability and upkeep of the fun amenities. It's totally fair to do so, of course...but still, it's a little pricey. On the other hand, we got our VERY level sight and great hookups. The sites are VERY close together, some of the tightest we've ever seen. Again, for one night, not a big deal. Might have been a bit claustrophobic if we'd stayed longer. I would unhesitatingly come here again if the need arose. Overall, very nice location. (Oh, and all the folks we interacted with were very friendly.)

  • Very nice KOA right off I-25

Plenty of room on the pad to maneuver our 60' long TV and TT. Great 2G and 5G wifi thus far. Negatives - Our site KD-19 was less than ideal for our 36' TT with our utilities located forward; we had to use our electric, water, and sewer extensions to make our connections. A little difficult to back into but, we managed. I would suggest any site other than KD-19 if your utilities are like ours.

  • Okay KOA for a night or two.

We stayed here two nights so that we could explore Colorado City (not much), Rye (quaint) and Bishop's Castle (extremely interesting). Our site was clean and orderly. Set up was easy. Neighbors were okay. Noise was low, access excellent. Wind can be a problem in this area but not a problem here in June.

  • One of the best KOAs

I like KOAs because of their convenience. Unfortunately CV, had caused a lot of the amenities to be closed. This KOA had a nice playground and outdoor sporting area, which was open. It also had a dog area that was fenced in, which is really good. It had a pool, but closed. It was close to the interstate but it wasn’t loud at all. We had a deluxe site, which I highly recommend, it had a patio, a yard and even a propane grill! Some of the other sites seemed a little close. Front desk and staff were friendly. Just a short drive to Bishops castle(must see) and San Isabel Park (good fishing lake). Overall great site.

Well maintained KOA campground. Friendly and helpful staff. Safe. Clean bathroom/showers. Full hookups. Campsites are close together. Some longer term trailers/motor homes reside there. They were well maintained. Right off exit 74 of interstate 25 in Colorado City, CO. Good experience.

I loved this park. Super friendly staff. The view of the mountains was nice. We found a phone booth in the field which was fun. Cool covered wagon type cabins. Looks like it would be great for kids. The overnight row isn't the most level. The backend sites on the side looked nice. The deluxe cabins had a nice outdoor setup. After hours check in was set up great with options which we did not find at our last KOA. This KOA really turned our experience around. If you can't make the right hand turn off the interstate to the road you can go to the gas station. We did OK in our 40ft motor home but no one was coming. We were there during covid 19. You can here some highway nice but it's not bad.

I have not been impressed with KOA’s in the past. My wife and I reluctantly decided to stay here because we were tired and was ready for a break. The park was very nice, clean, well kept, and the staff were great.
