After looking at the photos and the reviews we decided to give a try. First there was no real signage on the dirt road leading to the park and my husband GPS and my phone directions had us going opposite ways. We did find the park and I am not sure if something has happened to the people that own the park but the place is seriously run down. That being said the price was right for us and all we needed was a safe place for the night. There were only about 4 other RV’s here and the office clubhouse was closed. We didn’t any facilities but I think those were closed also. So if you just want a place for the night this place was okay.

  • Nice view. Crappy management

And was told by chuck the owner that there was a community shower in the club house for everyone. Then him and his wife decided to rent out the clubhouse to friends of the family that was having a wedding and wouldn’t allow they other guest to use the facility and said that they don’t offer shower when the clubhouse is rented… then they need to put in a shower house outside the facility for the other guest to use…. And also they have this one guy that’s in his early 20’s that’s a hunting guide around here that’s friends with there son that trays the clubhouse like he owns it and will strip down to his underwear in the living room or where ever to go shower and just leave his pants and clothes just were ever they land… and chuck and his wife don’t say nothing to him because he is basically family… so would I stay here again that’s a no… specially when there are other places that’s half the price a month. Granted there in town but I would rather save the money

  • Great place to get away from the Covid . And ideal stop over when traveling through.

First time during the Covid shelter in place lockdown for 2.5 months. The owner is absolutely wonderful and we so thoroughly enjoyed our stay we came back for a month when temps in the high country started dropping and the forest fire smoke chased us out.It is the eastern plains of Colorado so there is a lot of open flat lands and a fair share of windy days, but the small town off Stratton is about 5 mi. away and a very friendly atmosphere. Some sites are not completely level and require a little work, but the owner is always doing upgrades and improvements.

  • Peaceful, clean and friendly

The first night we stayed in a pull through, site 26, and the second night a back in, site 2.The host is fantastic and easy to work with. Both times I spoke to her via phone or text vs the website they use for bookings. She was great with communication. Our arrivals both times were late in the evening so we just went to our site and did not check in at the office. The campground is off highway a bit and you do have to drive on country roads to get to it. We took the dirt road route, no biggy. That said, there are instructions provided on how to avoid them if you prefer. The roads were well graded and smooth and did not bother us to drive on them. The area is a serene prairie type setting with farmland in several directions. We were able to do some star gazing while we were there.Setting up by either backing in or pulling through was simple. The sites are large and offer plenty of privacy between your neighbor.2 of our party used the showers/bathrooms. No complaints there. I think they only have 2, so you need to be prepared to wait if someone is using them. There's a resident kitty cat who is a bit shy but quite the sweetheart. He made an appearance at our site to see how things were going with our visit. All in all, great place to stay over and also avoid the noise of I 70. We found the setting quite enjoyable and will return with future trips.I gave 4 stars on quality because our pad at site 2 was small and a tad unlevel, no big deal to us at all with our rig. Some folks may not like driving dirt or taking a circuitous pavement route but it's a tradeoff for not having to hear I70 all night, so I'm not dinging access ratings at all.
